Fallout's shooting mechanics take inspiration from the great id Software, who are the undisputed kings of the genre (just look at the new Doom for proof). But, being an RPG, the game still tends towards being a bit bullet-absorbent. This mod steps in to amend that.
All the guns have been reworked so their damage, accuracy, recoil and weight better reflect how they work in real life (based on real-world data, according to the creator SerpentBlade). For the most part, this translates to weapons feeling more lethal and punchy - so missiles, nukes and cannon balls have much higher kinetic damage, flamethrowers are more fiery, and smaller weapons like shotguns and pistols also get a bump.
Of course, all these things apply to NPCs as well as yourself, so expect to receive equivalent damage to what you dole out. Also note that this mod doesn't work with other stat-changing mods.
